Ara Kachadourian
As a recognized leader in the basement community, Ara Kachadourian brings an extensive background and expertise in the areas of private equity, venture capital, investment management, retirement planning, lending, and charitable giving. He advises individuals, executives, multigenerational families, corporations, nonprofits, endowments, and foundations. Ara has over 25 years experience, leading and guiding clients in their most trusted matters. His Midwest background growing up in Bloomfield Hills, Michigan provides a unique perspective and appreciation of the hard work and dedication business owners put into building their enterprises. In the mid 1990s to early 2000s, he spent time advising small to middle-market businesses to navigate to various challenges they encounter for marketing, attracting capital, to regulations that affect their sector. Ara transitioned his career to the financial sector with Michigan National Bank. His past includes roles with firms such as Comerica Bank and Wells Fargo Advisors wealth management sector. In this period Ara established the reputation for being the go-to person in advising prominent business leaders, affluent clients, and family offices. This resulted in him serving as an advisor for a successful family in the private equity space. His guidance has been instrumental in successful exit and execution for clients in either the sale of their family owned enterprise, or starting a new venture.
In addition to personally advising clients, Ara has been responsible for training advisors and providing guidance to human resource professionals on matters relating to 401(K) plan/ profit-sharing compliance, and administration, Ara’s commitment to continuing education is my clients from all walks of life seek is guidance from entrepreneurs, corporate executives, including sports and entertainment professionals. Ara is a graduate of Oakland University with a BA in Political Science and Communications, and his MBA and MPA from the University of Phoenix. His background in the corporate world, and his experience in public policy, provide him with a unique ability to understand and identify various complex matters which impact decisions family, some businesses need to make.
Ara’s commitment extends beyond helping his Clients. He has a strong desire to give back to the community and has been involved in supporting educational, cultural, and nonprofit organizations. Since 2010, Ara has served Oakland University as an Alumni Ambassador speaking to students, parents, and educational leaders about the numerous programs Oakland University provides.
